Jason Verstappen joins translation agency AgroLingua

After studying at the Maastricht School of Translation and Interpreting for nearly four years, it’s time for the last part of my education: my final internship. My name is Jason Verstappen, I’m 24 years old and during the next three months, I’ll be doing an internship at AgroLingua.

I’ve been passionate about language from a young age and reading has always been a particular hobby of mine. In secondary school, I also fell in love with foreign languages. I especially liked English and German and I really wanted to learn more about these languages! Because of this, it only made sense for me to start studying at the Maastricht School of Translation and Interpreting. When I visited during the open day, I immediately knew this was what I wanted to do. After four interesting years in Maastricht and an internship in Germany, I’m ready to apply everything I’ve learned to a practical environment and take my first steps as a translator.

Finding an internship isn’t always easy. Which company appeals to me? What would I like to learn? The agricultural sector is completely new to me, but that’s also what makes it so interesting! I like to take on new challenges and this sector is obviously very important for our country. That’s why I knew right away that I would learn a lot at AgroLingua. During my internship, I’ll be translating mostly into Dutch, but I will also be translating into German and English.

I’m looking forward to this new challenge and I’m very curious to discover everything that awaits me at AgroLingua.
