Can you tell us some more about your company and why you started working with us 25 years ago? What were the most important considerations for you at the time?
Schouten Advies has offered consultancy services relating to food and feed safety for almost 40 years. As our client base became more international, we started working with AgroLingua. They provided the translations for manuals. It is vital that the correct terminology from the sector is used and that documents are translated accurately and with attention to detail. AgroLingua fitted the right profile.
How has the working partnership developed over the years in your experience? Have you noticed any major changes or improvements?
Cooperation between AgroLingua and Schouten Advies has intensified in recent years. Schouten Advies has become more active in labelling compliance and we also support our clients in preparing label texts. AgroLingua provides accurate translations using the customary terms in the food and feed sector and can meet the often tight lead times. We also appreciate the proactive thinking of the team and any suggestions they offer for improvements.
Are there any specific moments or projects that stand out?
Some of our clients operate under extreme time pressure so we also have to respond rapidly. It is reassuring that the project managers are flexible and the short lines of communication contribute to a seamless process. With one particularly complex project, all it took was a single phone call to agree various delivery times, for example. This allowed us to act quickly and deliver the labels on time.
What are the most important benefits of our partnership for your business? Which aspects of our collaboration do you value most?
It is extremely positive and valuable that the translators are familiar with the agri-food sector. Thanks to their in-depth knowledge, they ask specific questions that we rarely hear from other translation agencies. For example, a translator once asked the exact position of the best before date on the packaging, instead of just simply copying the supplied text. This commitment and sector-specific expertise directly contribute to the reliability of the translations of our labels and manuals for our clients.
