The Dutch Mushroom Days 2026 were hosted at the familiar Brabanthallen exhibition complex in ’s-Hertogenbosch from 22–24 April. The leading international trade fair for the mushroom industry was once again the place to be to connect with key industry players and catch up on the latest innovations.
In one form or another, AgroLingua has visited this event since the days it was held in Maastricht - many years ago – and we naturally took the time to visit a number of our business partners and clients. We couldn’t miss the opportunity to talk with Mark den Ouden of Mushroom Office. Mark is recognised as an authority in the global mushroom industry and travels the world helping growers and professionals master the art and science of mushroom growing. He is also the author of the best-selling reference work Mushroom Signals. AgroLingua provided the translation and, ten years on, the book is still in print and going strong. This practical guide is available in five languages.
Even in a digital age, the enduring popularity of this edition proves the power and value of printed books as reference works, as they provide a stable and consistent version of information and are easy to use. In fact, during the trade fair some visitors even made a special effort to speak to Mark personally to tell him how much the book has helped them to successfully grow mushrooms.
We hope Mark had a successful trade fair and wish him luck!
