Fruit Logistica insights: trends in fresh produce

Time flies

Time really does seem to fly and it’s already been quite some weeks since we were in Berlin for Fruit Logistica. From the cold and snowy conditions in Berlin to the unseasonally high temperatures in early March we are experiencing at the moment, the shift in seasons seems to mirror just how quickly change is taking place in the fresh produce industry.

We visited the trade fair to catch up on the latest developments in the dynamic global fresh fruit and vegetable industry. Fruit Logistica remains the ideal platform for companies across the supply chain to meet and showcase innovations. It is also the perfect occasion to strengthen existing relationships and build new partnerships. With the industry facing challenges such as climate change, rising production costs, volatile markets and the changing behaviour of consumers in today’s uncertain landscape, meeting clients and partners face-to-face is even more important. Which is precisely why we at AgroLingua attend the fair every year – because in the end, strong and valuable collaboration is built on personal connections.

One of the clients we had the pleasure of meeting at the recent edition of Fruit Logistica was Nature’s Pride. Since its foundation more than 25 years ago, Nature’s Pride has played a pioneering role in allowing everyone to continue to enjoy the tastiest fruit and vegetables. This progressive partner has plenty of plans for this year.

For as long as the company has been one of our valued clients, one trusty item always has pride of place on my desk: the Nature’s Pride calendar. Call it a generational thing, but I can’t resist a good traditional paper calendar. So a big thank you to Cindy van Kester for making sure my desk wasn’t missing one this year! A calendar is a small gesture, but my desk isn’t the same without one…

With our extensive industry experience, we have a clear understanding of the opportunities, threats and challenges facing the fresh fruit and vegetable sector. Explore the benefit of a strategic LSP partnership with AgroLingua and discover how we can support your business success.
